Yeah.. I think Paypal just created a chaos for Malaysian bloggers. I don’t think they will “get back to basic”. Believe me, if you don’t do something, maybe you can’t withdraw your money at all.

It’s not so cool for taking so much times to solve the problem.
We are suffering didn’t we?
And for those who don’t have an U.S bank account, it will be more suffer. They have to apply for it (VMI & E*Trade card) and they have to inform their fund sender regarding the “acceptance period”.

No mercy from Paypal and and maybe this is the right time to do the same thing to them. And this “mysterious steps” really caught my attention. He claimed himself as Simon Lim in Liewcf’s comment and he also try to “help” others Malaysian to withdraw their own money from Paypal. And I agreed on what Louiss said in his feedback comment on this topic in his blog.

On 2nd July 2007, paypal will become a bank. That is mean we need to have an account with them or otherwise we cannot withdraw the money.

Below is Simon Lim secret steps:

Dear all Paypal user,

For almost a week, i was a victim like most Malaysia Paypal user can’t accept money without having US bank account due to the system glitches as “reported” by Paypal.

According to michel, i tried to use random number to add an US bank account and delete it right after accepting all payments. And it WORKS! Thank GOD!

Here is the step by step to overwrite Paypal current system glitches.
1. Go to Overview -> Click Profile
2. In Financial Information column -> Click Bank Account
3. Type the following information as below:
- Bank Name: The Bank of New York
- Account Type: Checking
- Routing Number: 021000018
- Account Number: 104000000880214
- Re-enter Account Number: 104000000880214

Note: Please take note that the account number is not valid. It works on me and does not guaranteed works in your account. Just pray hard and visualise.

And once you have added the account, accept all your payments. Then, please remember to delete the invalid US Bank Account. This is the step that i used to accept my payments as of now.

Now based on what he said, he already did it. If you want to follow his step… it’s okay but please remember to delete the invalid US Bank Account.

*** Use it at your own risk.

This is risky. Before long, Paypal will mark your account “Limited Access”. Then you will have problem.

I salute you for having found this solution, but this is also the reason Paypal imposing unfair policies on Malaysians. We are crooked.

go apply for an E*Trade account, it’s easy.

well, as I said:

***use it at your won risk.

3. Headwind - May 16, 2007

I understand your goodwill.

If this method spreads fast enuff, Paypal will definitely put a “Limited Access” on all Malaysian Paypal, then everybody will be in deeper trouble than now.

For now, I will just hope Paypal is not going to find out about this.

cheers!

thanks for that reminder. but doesn’t it sound “fishy” if this “glitches” takes too long to be settled?

5. Headwind - May 16, 2007

I don’t think this is “glitches”.
My best guess is that they are downgrading Malaysia to
“Send, Withdraw to a US Account” status.

6. weirdoux - May 16, 2007

well maybe. but doesn’t it sound “fishy” again?

If they want downgrading Malaysia to “Send, Withdraw to a US Account” status, why they still put us in this “game”?

Wouldn’t it be easier if they just announce it?
Paypal is not a hanky panky company.

7. Headwind - May 16, 2007

They put us in this “game” bcos they tot we can be trusted,
but we are crooked. so we are being downgraded, serves us right.

now if we do this, before long we will be out of the game.

This is my best guess, for now they still allow US accounts like
VMI and E*Trade bcos our identity is verified.

Paypal is not a hanky panky company.

now you got my word.
“they lead us to do this…”

Wow.. interesting.

Have to think awhile first. Will be my last resort!

10. weirdoux - May 16, 2007

yes princess…

you’re right!
take it as what liewcf said.

11. Headwind - May 16, 2007

for now we can only hope that this is really a “glitch”

cheers!

12. weirdoux - May 16, 2007

yup,

thanks headwind for your good opinions. i like it. at least, you already put Malaysian bloggers in another level of blogging.

13. Louiss - May 16, 2007

Now make sure you get your money asap, or you can’t even a dime later on. Good luck mate!
