Bank Islam Prepaid Mastercard: Can Verify Paypal? May 21, 2007

I’m not sure either this card can verify Paypal account or not but since the “Mastercard” name is there, I think it’s positive. The name of this debit card — Bank Islam Tourist Friend MasterCard Unembossed Prepaid Card and it has been launched on May 17 in Kuala Lumpur.
Actually, the card was launched in conjunction with the Visit Malaysia Year 2007. It would be marketed through travel agents, the Tourism Ministry and State Tourism Associations.
Cardholders are entitled to enjoy discounts of up to 70% at more than 400 Tourist Friend merchants as well as over 20 retail chains nationwide participating in the MasterCard Visit Malaysia Year 2007/2008 Privileges Program.
For Muslim, this is a good news because MasterCard Worldwide and SMarketForce Sdn Bhd jointly developed the syariah-compliant prepaid card. So if any of you had any experience regarding the Paypal verification process via this debit card, feel free to drop youra comment here.

I just got my AmBank NexG prepaid MC card, which I got from a 7/11 shop last week for RM25, activated today, and am going to see if I can use it to verify my paypal account.

Yeap…all done. Paypal has accepted my NexG MC prepaid card. I’ve even been upgraded to Premier account. Now, all I need to do is to enter the paypal code, which I should be getting in a few days.
Well, since that has been taken care of, the next problem is getting the money out. let see all the option first then… I think I’ll need more info on the VMI card tho.

(i’m not sure for NexG, but Public Bank will take about 1 month for the statement).
NexG come with an online account. You can get the code by accessing the online statement. To access it, you just need to wait for your card pin number to arrive by post. The customer service people said it should take around 1 week to get the pin code, that is unless Pos Malaysia didn’t screw up…

I use Tune Card to validate and verify my paypal. Since it is a prepiad visa, I use it to cash out my paypal money easy
